Lace and Fedex

If you were to walk into Veronica's apartment yesterday, you would find three sweaty ladies eating carrots while meticulously sewing lace fabric together and drawing portraits. We met at 1:00 and worked until 6:00 that evening. Megan and I continued on Veronica's Edgar Allen Poe project, just sewing pieces upon pieces of lace together which eventually will resemble a curtain. We made a lot of progress. Megan started connecting finished rows of fabric together and I continued to sew new rows. Veronica had to draw portraits for a different project and they all look stunning so far.
I was surprised by how fast time went. Perhaps it was a combination of the doo wop music and taking breaks to play with Veronica's cats that made sewing lace for five hours a bit more exciting. Around 4:00 Veronica confirmed with Fedex an order of fliers for her show at Philamoca, a gallery in North Philly. She sent Megan and I to pick them up today at Fedex. During the week we need to distribute them. I plan on putting some up in the UArts buildings and local coffee shops. Veronica's show will be on August 2nd 6pm to 11pm at Philamoca on 531 N. 12th St. come check it out!
